Aujourd’hui ČD (České Dráhy - Réseau Ferré Tchèque) y informatise et centralise la gestion de ses aiguillages de la région. De cette modernisation, résulte une suppression drastique des emplois. La République Tchèque possède le réseau ferroviaire le plus dense d’Europe. Cette densité entraine un coût d’entretien très élevé. Sans aides de l’état, ČD n’est pas rentable. En 2010 ces aides sont amputées de 20 millions d’euros. ČD supprime 1600 postes. En 2011, c’est un millier d’employés qui quittera son poste.Přerov in Moravia is one of the most important railway junctions in the Czech Republic. Today, ČD (České Dráhy – Czech Railway) computerizes and centralizes there the region’s management of their shuntings. From this modernization, results a drastic jobs loss. The Czech Republic has the densest railway network in Europe. This density leads to a very high maintenance cost. If not funded by the state, ČD is not profitable. In 2010 the government cut the financial aid by 20 million euros. Therefore ČD dropped 1600 places. Il lui a été accordé du gouvernement communiste une bourse pour y étudier comme à beaucoup d’autres jeunes de pays d’Afrique avec lesquels le gouvernement d’alors était proche. La chute du communisme en 1989 a signifié pour ces étudiants d’Afrique, la fin de ces bourses d’étude. Au moment de la Révolution de Velours, il restait à Michel 18 mois avant l’obtention de son diplôme. Venant d’une famille modeste, il n’a pas pu payer les 5.000 dollars pour aller au bout de son cycle universitaire en pharmacie. Ainsi, Michel vit au banc de la société. Depuis 1999, toutes ses demandes d’asile ont été rejetées. Il n’a donc aucun droit mais continue d’errer à Prague.From People's Republic of the Congo, Michel came to study in Czechoslovakia in 1985. He had been given a scholarship, which was one of the ways the communist Czechoslovak government helped those African countries with which it had a close relationship. The fall of communism in 1989 meant the scholarship programme ended. At the time, Michel had eighteen more months to finish university. From a poor family he could not afford the 5,000 dollars to pay for the remaining time in its pharmacy school. Since then, Michel has been slipping more and more towards the edge of society.
